Augusta Charter Township Fire Dept proudly protects 6745 people (2010 Census) living in an area of 36 current square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status.

We are members of or belong to the following:

Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team, The Chief (Vic Chevrette) is the Team Director.
The Washtenaw Area Mutual Aid Association
The South Eastern Michigan Chiefs Association
The National Fire Safety Council
The Firefighters are all members of the Michigan Association of Fire Fighters, We are Local 911
