Butler Road Cell Tower Application

November 8, 2010 - Today, AT&T Mobility submitted a letter to formally withdraw their application for a Special Land Use, Township File SLU-10-01, to site a cell tower at 11650 Butler Road, and to re-examine other potential collocation opportunities in the surrounding area. Therefore, there will NOT be a continued Public Hearing at the Lincoln High School on November 17. Further, as there are no other agenda items, the November Planning Commission meeting is cancelled.

October 26, 2010 - Last week, AT&T submitted a new set of plans for their proposed cell tower. They now propose to locate the tower to the rear of the property, and more to the south near the drain. The height of the proposed tower has been reduced to 195 feet, and therefore a flashing aircraft beacon is no longer required. The design of the proposed tower has been changed from a free standing lattice to a monopole.

The West Cafeteria (Room 1500) in Lincoln High School has been reserved for the next meeting on Wednesday, November 17, 2010.

The room has been reserved from 6PM to 9PM, with the meeting starting at the normal time of 6:30PM. A podium and microphones have been requested.

Park in the lot at the west end of the building. Use the entrance marked "Auditorium", which is about 2/3 of the way towards the back (north) of the west end of the building. After entering, take a jog in the hallway to the right to find Room 1500.

October 10, 2010 - AT&T has not submitted revised site plan drawings to the Planning Commission. Therefore, the subject of Cell Tower will NOT be on the October agenda of the Planning Commission. It is expected that the Cell Tower application WILL be on the November agenda (3rd Wednesday), but this is not confirmed. If so, it is expected that the meeting will be held at the Lincoln West Cafeteria, Room 1500. Check back here for additional information as the November date approaches.

The October meeting of the Planning Commission will be held at the regular location at the Township Hall.

August 31, 2010 - AT&T has requested that they withdraw from the September 15, 2010 continuence meeting. See attached letter of request. Therefore, there WILL NOT be a continued Public Hearing at the Lincoln West Cafeteria Room on September 15. It is possible that this meeting will be held in October, or maybe in November. Check back here for news on the scheduling.

August 20, 2010 - A Public Hearing was held on Wednesday, August 18. At the public hearing, AT&T requested a continuence to the following meeting, which was granted. A citizen requested that the next meeting be held at a larger location. The West Cafeteria (Room 1500) in Lincoln High School has been reserved for the next meeting on Wednesday, September 15.

The room has been reserved from 6PM to 9PM, with the meeting starting at the normal time of 6:30PM. A podium and microphones have been requested.
